The principle of geothermal drilling is based on finding a constant temperature which exists at a certain depth under the earth´s surface.
At a depth of approximately 100m the desired constant temperature of about 20 degrees centigrade is encountered.
This temperature is constant and present throughout the year.
A vertical borehole is most commonly drilled.
This is common practise when enough space for positioning the drilling rig is available. In case of multiple boreholes, limited space or bad access to the desired drilling location it is also possible to drill at an angle.
Our BERETTA T44 drilling rig is very manouverable and we can get the machine pretty much to any desired drilling location.
With a width of only 1.40m and equiped with rubber tracks the T44 can be guided past every villa with the lawful 3m clearance between the wall of the villa and the border of the plot.
Dwellings with a walled garden are not a problem either beause
our machine weighing just 4400 kilos and can easily be lifted into position
with an average crane. |
